Performance/Towing
Depending
on the trim you choose, you can take advantage of the following five powerful
engines that are paired with an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission unless
otherwise stated. To maximize performance, it offers driver-selectable modes like
Normal, Tow/haul, EcoSelect, Sport, and Snow/Wet.
- 3.5-liter
EcoBoost® V6. This engine delivers 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque
while towing up to 13,200 pounds. It's pushed by twin intercooled turbos and
the Ford port-Fuel and Direct-Injection system.
- 3.0-liter
Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel. This available powerplant carries up to 1,940
pounds of payload and handles up to 11,500 pounds of towing. It generates up to
250 horsepower at 3,250 RPM and 440 pound-feet of torque at 1,750 RPM. Fuel
economy achieves 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
- High-Output
3.5-liter EcoBoost®. This 24-valve and 10-speed automatic deliver up to 450
horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque for the Raptor and Limited
trims.
- 2.7-liter
Turbocharged EcoBoost®: Giving 275 horsepower and pound-feet of torque, this
engine relies on dual overhead cam design with variable intake/exhaust timing
and two injectors per cylinder with the 10-speed automatic transmission. It is forged
from high-strength compacted graphite.
- 5.0-liter Twin-Independent Variable Cam Timing (TI-VCT) V8. This powerplant puts out 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It can run on propane autogas or compressed natural gas (CNG) when equipped with the available CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package.
- 3.3-liter TI-VCT V6: With the six-speed automatic transmission, this motor produces 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque and had three driving modes: Normal, Tow/Haul, and Sport.
